Strain Description:
Moroccan Beldia Kif, a traditional hash plant from the Rif area near Ketama and Chefchaouen, is renowned for producing kif (a traditional blend of cannabis flowers with tobacco) and the famous Moroccan blond hash. This pure Moroccan strain stands out as one of the fastest psychoactive sativa landraces globally, owing to its semi-autoflowering traits and a remarkably short flowering time.
Traditionally sown in early spring, this strain starts to bloom in June and is harvested as early as August. Moroccan plants are small/medium-sized, exhibiting two main phenotypes—tall and columnar or shorter and more branched. Thriving in its native land with minimal care and low nutrient levels, it showcases excellent resistance against heat and drought, making it ideal for outdoor guerrilla growing in hot and dry climates.
Morocco, the largest hashish producer globally, faces genetic contamination from foreign indoor genetics. In response, a group of old-school Moroccan growers has preserved ancient heirloom Moroccan seeds to protect the strain's original state from complete genetic contamination.
Growing Information:
Especially recommended for outdoor growing in hot and dry climates due to its excellent adaptability to heat and drought. Outdoors, due to its semi-autoflowering tendencies, it is recommended to start them in large pots to maximize growth before the flowering stage.
The strain is a landrace that has not fully adapted to stable photoperiods and artificial lamps of indoor growing. Although it can be grown indoors, avoid excessive watering or feeding. To keep parental plants indoors in the mother room, use long photoperiods (20/4 or higher) and large pots to avoid restrictions on root space, preventing premature flowering due to semi-autoflowering tendencies.
Excellent for breeding outdoor semi-autoflowering hybrids with fast flowering and high resistance against heat and drought. Soft/moderate nutrient levels are recommended for the entire cycle.
Strain Profile:
The terpene profile mainly contains high amounts of alpha-pinene and beta-myrcene, followed by smaller quantities of beta-pinene. Sesquiterpenes include mainly beta-caryophyllene (2/3 parts) and smaller amounts of alpha-humulene (1/3).
Strain Summary:
Moroccan Beldia Kif, preserved in its purest original form, is a testament to Morocco's rich cannabis heritage. With its unique characteristics, adaptability, and historical significance, it offers a distinctive experience for cannabis enthusiasts.
