Malawi flourishes both indoors and outdoors. For indoor cultivation, strong light intensity and sufficient space are crucial. It responds well to Sea of Green (SOG) setups due to its high yield in the main cola. Additionally, it adapts favorably to Screen of Green (SCROG), horizontal, or network growing, displaying vigorous reactions to pruning.
Outdoors, Malawi thrives in tropical or subtropical climates, excelling in warm coastal regions with mild autumn conditions, akin to the Mediterranean. Genetic analyses reveal its rare and unique genotype, showcasing moderate genetic variability. Moderately low nitrogen levels are recommended during the growing stage, increasing to moderate-high levels during flowering.
